Re: serial port speed (baud rate)

I have tried the V3.0 software from this website.
It is much faster than the V4.3 I have on my CD.

serial port speed (baud rate)

Hi again,

I have encountered a speed issue with the Argus 3.
It takes more than 5 minutes for a single image to download.
Is that normal?

Re: Reducing the focal length

Here is an image I transferred via serial :-)
The focus is a bit above minimal focus.
... the battery gets eaten like no tomorrow. I have ordered 2 new batteries (30€ each).

Argus 3 serial voltage

What voltage does the argus 3 use?

+/-5V, +/-12V or TTL (0..5V)?

Can I directly connect the argus 3 to my PC via a direct cable or is a level shifter needed?

I have modded my argus 3 to allow me to change the focus from the original 1-30m to 20cm-30cm. In the now accessible hole in the front i ...

Re: Using an Argus 3 for analyzing electronics ...

But I would like to start with a incomplete unit first... since I don't want to destroy a good unit. -...

Reducing the focal length

Im going to try to add 'glasses' to an Argus 3 to get closer to objects. ZnSe, GaAr and Germanium lenses should be acceptable for the 7-14um wavelength. The other method would be to use a metal or metalized concave mirror. This would distort the image with a classical concave shape if used in a 90° ...
